Terms of Use

These Terms of Use govern your access to and use of the Kaleido web application (“Kaleido”, the “Platform”). By using the Platform you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Platform.

1. The service

Kaleido is a walking audio guide that helps you discover cultural, historical and tourist sites. You can scan a Kaleido plaque or QR code, browse locations and listen to short narrated stories. Kaleido is a Progressive Web App and can be installed on your device.

2. Content and accuracy

Location content is provided by partner organizations. Each partner is responsible for the accuracy, currency and lawfulness of the content it uploads. Content is provided “as is” for general information; we make no warranty as to its accuracy and are not liable for reliance on it. If you spot something incorrect, please let us know.

3. Intellectual property

Partners retain ownership of the content they upload and grant the Platform a licence to host, stream and display it in order to operate and promote Kaleido. The Kaleido name, logo and the Platform itself are protected and may not be used without permission. You may not copy, redistribute or commercially exploit content from the Platform without the rights holder’s consent.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• use the Platform for any unlawful purpose;
• attempt to disrupt, overload, or gain unauthorized access to the Platform or its underlying systems;
• scrape, harvest or reuse content in a way that infringes the rights of partners or the Platform.

5. Partner obligations

Partner organizations that publish content agree to keep it professional, politically neutral and secular, in line with the partnership agreement. The Platform Owner may review, suspend or remove content that does not meet these standards.

6. Third-party links and services

The Platform links to partner websites and uses third-party services such as maps. We are not responsible for the content or practices of those third parties. Your use of them is governed by their own terms.

7. Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, the Platform is provided without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform.

8. Availability and changes

The Platform is currently provided free of charge. We may change, suspend or discontinue features, and we may introduce paid services in the future. We may also update these terms; the current version is always available on this page.

9. Privacy

Our handling of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy and Cookie Policy.

10. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Republic of Serbia, and any dispute is subject to the competent courts of Serbia, without prejudice to any mandatory consumer protections available to you under the law of your country of residence.
